How to apply for a grant.

In Ireland, the government provides grants and incentives to encourage the installation of air source heat pumps (ASHPs) as part of its efforts to promote energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. The primary program offering these grants is administered by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). Here’s an overview of the grants available for air source heat pumps in Ireland:

INITIAL ASSESMENT

Engage a registered Technical Advisor to assess your home’s suitability for a heat pump system SEAI Registered Technical Advisors This assessment ensures your home meets the necessary insulation and airtightness requirements.

APPLICATION

Submit an online application to SEAI through their website. You’ll need to provide details about your home and the proposed heat pump system.

APPROVAL

Once approved, you’ll receive a grant offer outlining the amount you’re eligible for.

INSTALLATION

Hire an SEAI-registered contractor to install the heat pump system. Ensure the work is completed within the timeframe specified in the grant offer.

PAYMENT

After installation, submit the necessary documentation (including receipts and proof of work completion) to SEAI to receive the grant payment.
